Taboo - the ODBC database manager

Have you ever wanted to be able to tweak a certain value in a database, but you don't have the skills to use the tool that comes with the database?

What about exporting a table from a MS SQLServer database on the server and then importing it into your MS Access database on your PC? And vice versa.

Now at Version 1.1, Taboo allows you to view the contents of any ODBC data source from your PC. The data source could be on your machine or on a server, and running under MS Access, MS SQLServer, IBM DB2, Oracle, etc. So long as you have an ODBC data source set up on your machine you can get to the data.

You can export tables from one data source, then import them into another data source. It also copes with dates, allowing you to do translations if required. For example, PeopleSoft stores dates in "yyddd" format which is totally alien to MS Access.

Selecting a record in the grid and pressing Update will construct the SQL required, together with the relevant keys, to do an update. All you have to do is change the columns you need to and press Execute.

Likewise, selecting a record and pressing Delete will construct a delete statement for you.

If you know how to write SQL, you can type it into the "SQL Box" and simply execute it against the data source.

THIS IS A VERY POWERFUL TOOL ALLOWING YOU TO DO THINGS YOU SHOULDN'T - HENCE THE NAME YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

You can download a shareware version of Taboo Here.   For more details about purchasing the full version of Taboo please contact our Sales Team
