JCSLink - ERP Integration

Thinking about integrating with your ERP system using any remote device or data acquisition tool?  Then Vibrant Systems Flagship product,  JCSLink,  is the product for you.

Normally you would expect your employees to be typing information into a keyboard to interact with your Business System, but with JCSLink you have the ability to link almost any device and integrate them into your business system environment.

Devices include:-

The JCS Database stores all the requests (Jobs) from the end user devices. The JCSLink Server runs a process called a Queue Processor or Q-Proc. When the Q-Proc processes a Job any results, warnings or errors returned are stored in the JCS Database. The end user device can then retrieve the results and act accordingly.
 
An Audit Trail is generated within the JCS Database when Jobs are executed, so that you can see which Jobs have been run and when - the data is available for subsequent analysis.

The JCSLink product is broken down into three main areas:-

JCSLink Foundation

There are several complementary and associated applications that are delivered as part of the JCSLink Foundation set:-

 JCSLabel

an application that can be called "standalone" to print bar coded labels from your business system. You decide what information is to be printed, and where

 JCSLoad

an application that can be called "standalone" to allow flat files (in CSV format) to be uploaded into the JCS Database, and hence into the business system. For example, you may have an existing application that gathers data into a database. Rather than interfacing the data to your business system in real time, you could generate a flat file once a day and have JCSLoad pass the data in the file into your business system

 JCSSoak

an application to allow you to test the performance of your JCSLink installation by sending a series of jobs repeatedly for a set time period

JCSLink Modules

The JCSLink Modules are the chunks of functions that are called to retrieve and update information:-

 RFLink Advanced

functions to provide additional Radio Frequency device or Data Acquisition functionality. They enable automation of J.D. Edwards Warehouse transactions by integrating with radio data terminals (RDT) or PocketPC type devices

 Asset Tracking

…and if there are functions you'd like which aren't part of the standard set, then we'll work with you to define and develop those functions.

Because of the flexibility of JCSLink we are currently extending the functionality to incorporate other areas. In particular the following JCSLink Modules are currently being planned:

 LIMSLink

functions to enable integration of laboratory testing equipment (LIMS) equipment with your business system

 PFSLink

functions to enable integration of the Preactor Finite Scheduler with your business system

 QueryLink

functions to enable queries on data held within your business system to be built interactively and "on the fly"

 ReportLink

functions to enable reports within your business system to be triggered from external devices

 SFDCLink

functions to enable integration of shop floor data collection equipment (SFDC) equipment (e.g. end of line scanning devices) with your business system

 TIMELink

functions to enable integration of time and attendance (T&A) equipment (e.g. clocks) with your business system
